Help the Nittany Lion!

Do you think that the Nittany Lion deserves a spot in the Mascot Hall of Fame? Of course you do!

Over at Nittany White Out I started up a campaign to help get the great legend enshrined in the Mascot Hall of Fame. It is going along nicely but I still need some help out there. Check out my latest post to see what I am asking for right now.

Also today I put together a quick post about the football captains for 2009 on Examiner.

I hope you'll stop by each location for my latest posts about Penn State football.

The Pretenders? I Think Not

There is one thing I love about this time of the year, and it is the videos on YouTube that start popping up, trying to one up the previous. Here is the latest one I came across today.

Some Updates

Just an update on some new posts at various spots...

For those of you who follow Nittanydelphia on Twitter (and if you aren't you should start!) you may already knows about these updates so please bear with me.

I just wanted to provide you with some links to some recent posts I have put together for Nittany White Out and Examiner.

Nittany White Out

Examiner
Back to Twitter (I seriously love Twitter and the uses I have for it) I am trying to track down any PSU beat writers on the service. If you know of any please drop me a line in the comments, or e-mail, or through Twitter. I would love to find any! I already have a bunch of Phillies beat reporters that I follow so I feel there must be someone out there for Penn State.

Again, if you use Twitter then you should be following @Nittanydelphia. I am available to discuss Penn State football or college football in general pretty much the entire day with my setup. I have also set up the account to automatically send tweets whenever this site is updated as well as my stuff on Examiner.

I will get back to doing some changes to this site next week as I may have moved primarily to Nittany White Out but I want to keep this site up and running. Thank you to those who continue to stop by the site. I hope you have followed my work over NWO and Examiner (and Macho Row!)as well!

The Big Announcement

I wanted to alert my loyal readers (all six of you perhaps) that I have joined the crew over at the great Penn State football site, Nittany White Out. What does that mean for Nittanydelphia?

Well as I am already working for Examiner.com as the Penn State football Examiner and now I am joining the NWO gang it likely means that Nittanydelphia may not be used as it was originally intended. Instead Nittanydelphia will take on a new focus and may have to go through an adjustment period.

Nittanydelphia will be used more to inform you of my latest postings on Examiner.com and NWO. From time to time I may share some PSU football insight here as well, but expect the large majority of my content to appear at either of the previous sites first.

I will remain active on Twitter as @Nittanydelphia, but you can also follow my personal Twitter account (@krmcguire) for tweets updating you on my latest posts.

I am excited and grateful to join the NWO even though there will be no chairs over the head and spray painting the logo all over the competition. I do hope you will continue to follow me in these new ventures! You can check out my first post at NWO, where I take a moment to introduce myself to the audience.

Massaro Out for 2009

Defensive end Pete Massaro will be sidelined for the entire 2009 season before it even gets started. Massaro fell to a torn ACL on his right knee during the Blue White game on Saturday. Massaro will go in for surgery in the next couple of weeks and should take about nine months to recover fully.

The freshman already used a red-shirt season in 2008 so he will have to petition for an extra year of eligibility. The loss of Massaro in 2009 raised more concern about the defensive end position, already decimated by three starters to the NFL draft. Massaro was supposed to make a bid for some major playing time on the line this season.

Examiner: NFL Draft Recap

Just posted a recap of the NFL draft concerning Penn State players, which includes an update on some free agent signings after the draft.

You can read it here.

And yes, soon I will have an actual profile picture to show on Examiner.
